Winn Fuqua combines photography and design to create works of art beaming with energy. His signature style captures bikers on their motorcycles the way they are meant to be • in drive. Cruising the night protected by police escort, Winn shoots bikers experiencing the ride: wind in their hair, lights blurring by. Then, he spices up the images with his digital expertise to uniquely produce the finished piece on canvas. The result: a Fuqua original that’s fully charged. Tired of stodgy corporate photos, Winn sought a new approach to custom portraiture. Since he rode bikes as a kid, Winn recognized the strong emotions tied to a person’s motorcycle and he had an idea. He photographed a buddy during a night ride, focusing on the joy of the ride. Later, as Winn enhanced the image digitally, a specific look emerged. As he played with the color, the motion and adventure of the ride came alive. This was an experience clients would rave about. Winn attended Stephen F. Austin State University and the Colorado Institute of Art, where he earned a B.A. degree in photography. He credits most of his hands-on training to the national photographers he assisted while living in Los Angeles. In 1990, Winn moved to Dallas and opened his first studio. Clients applaud Winn’s ability to express the emotion of people and moments in his art. Winn’s award-winning photographs have been featured in national publications such as Redbook, USA Today, and Ebony Magazine. With 16 years of advertising photography experience, Winn’s client list includes notables such as Coca-Cola USA, the Texas Rangers, Sprint, Raytheon and Lego.
